ok first work out where your mounting the amp then u will need to run a power cable from the battery a remote wire from you deck a speaker wires from the speakers all to the amp then run a earth wire from the closest body bolt make sure its clean with a good contact!!!

RCA Outputs go to your amplifier. It sends the signal to the amp which is amplified and then comes out of the output of the amplifier which in turn goes to your speakers.

Before you start to plug everything in. Unplug the negative terminal from the battery...that way you won't destroy anything.

Run the RCA cables from the output of the head unit to the input of the amplifier.

Then run a remote cable from the head unit to the remote of the amplifier. The remote cable allows the head unit to send a signal to the amplifier telling it is on and therefore the amplifier turns on.

Run a power cable from the positive of the battery to the amplifier. Make sure you have a fuse running with the power cable for safety's sake.

The earth cable should be as short as possible. So find the closest bolt, as toynwitu said, making sure contacts are really good. You can make your own earth by finding a accessible hole where a bolt can fit through it, scrape some paint to get to bare metal and then use the nut to tighten the earth onto the chassis. Make sure the earth cable is of some thickness as the power cable or better...a bad earth can cause problems.

Once all the main things are wired you can now wire the amp to the rear speakers.

Hopefully that helps.

remote wire sends the signal to the amp to turn it on when the cd player is on. its probably blue. and not connected to anything atm.

once again, read the manual. its simple.

Ever thought about going to sony's website???
http://www.sony-asia.com/support/manual ... /XM-280GTX

They dont list a 250w. But this should help, try this with your head unit too.
