The pulley circled in red on my 4.0 has become very noisy and very annoying. How hard is it to remove and replace the bearing in it?

Looking at pic mate. Easy as to replace and should cost less than 10 bucks for the bearing.
Remove the pulley and knock the bearing out thru the rear, then carefully (hitting on the outside of the bearing NOT THE INSIDE) fit the new one.

Cheer's for posting the pic.
The engine in the pic isn't mine.....I was just using that as an example. Mine is still in the car. I'm guessing it would just be a case of unbolting the pulley, Knock out and replace the bearing, Bolt it back on and put tension on the belt?

dont go to ford for the bearing, but your local bearing and fastener specialist. Should be looking at less than ten bucks id think

Cheer's guys. My local auto parts store sells bearings cheap. I replaced the bearing in the idler pulley last month.....Flamin thing was noisier than a whore going for broke.
If this bearing replacement is as simple as the idler pulley then she'll be a piece of cake.

yeah should be just as easy as that.
would be even easier to just replace the pulley with a genuine one, bearing and all. obvioulsy not as cheap though. up to you

A new factory item comes as the pulley with bearing already installed from memory around $45 or something stupid like that .
best bet is to go to a bearing place with the pulley still fitted with old bearing I think the last one I got was about $6 an 25 mins including going to get the bearing Kev
