I've got a 8th month 1995 Longreach utility with the factory "Outback Pak"
fitted, which I bought new in '95 with the standard gauges.Does anyone know if it's possible to fit the instrument cluster out of a similar model ute with with the "S Pak" instruments,or a similar instrument cluster out of an EA or EB Fairmont,to dress up the dashboard. If it is possible to do so,what changes to the wiring etc. would be required? Cheers, Wrongway. |

Thanks very much for the reply,I appreciate it.All I really wish to do,is get the speedo, tacho, oil, fuel, volts and temp gauges working, along with the
basic XG blinker indicator lights, high beam, smartlock etc working. I have (1) "S PAK" instrument cluster from an XG commerial(ute or van,not sure which)with a date sticker June 1993,and what I think is an instrument cluster from either an EA or early EB,with the speedo, tacho, and the 4 smaller gauges for fuel, oil, temp and volts.I'm not sure if they are the same or have any minor differences. I'm not worried about low water level lights etc,as my model ute never had them fitted when I had the "Outback" pack fitted from Ford in '95,when I bought it,so any other warning lights don't worry me. Any help,or advice in fitting either of these instrument clusters would be greatly appreciated. Wrongway. |

The clusters are EBII/ED items. XG wiring is essentially EBII/ED.
You can add the remote keyless entry reasonably easily as well.
