Anyone know of how big a job putting a new intake manifold gasket on is?. Worth doing myself or should i leave it to the experts?

car? ... ea-ed not to hard ... ef/el bit harder ..
need some uni-joints and some ratchet spanners, if you don't have them, go get some, makes life easier . |

like au2low said it not really hard but some good tools will make it easier
just take the onld intake manifold off/ and replace the gasketc and then put it back on! no need to touch anythign else

no uni's neccessary on the EA-ED's... just unbolt the 10mmm or 8mm bolts (depending on the model)... pull back a bit, old gasket falls out, and put in new one.. maybe with some silicone around the ports on the gasket, and bolt everything back up... don't tighten TOO much.. I snapped on of those bolts... don't forget the engine hook... also if the bolts aren't going in.. then just grease em up, or make sure its going in right.
basically be careful, and it's a piece of piss... Dunno about the EF/EL.. you would need uni's and s**t to get around the BBM. Cheers
