This is a UHF antenna that is mounted to your windscreen. There is no way you can break this sucker.

The LASER CLEAR transparent on-glass antenna is an innovation that is a superior alternative to the common on-glass antennas. It is mounted on the inside of the windscreen and when placed in the fade-to-clear tint region found on many vehicles, it becomes virtually invisible. Note that “after factory” tinting which has metallic film and is usually placed on side or rear windscreens, is not suitable for this antenna.

So this antenna wont suit cars with already tinted windows?
Or can it be placed on the front windscreen?

it can be placed on the front windscreen
if you put it on the passenger side, or behind the rear view mirror it would be ok.

what sort of range do you get with this antenna?

thats not really something you can answer, its its dependent upon a heap of different things, radio, wiring, elevation of the car, position

its 4.5bd gain though.

Guessing you can't take if back off the glass if you need to replace the windscreen?

you could take it off if you are careful, i have removed one of these before and refitted.
Can be done with the use of a razor blade

I used to get people hassling me for these all the time.
