I have heard mostly good things about doing this, but occasionally there is a bad word.
There have been comments based on the surface flatness not being smooth enough on the E series for the AU gasket to properly work.

So I thought a poll would be a good idea to see how they go.

Please only enter if you used new headbolts, AU gasket, and had the head shaved, and use good quality coolant always topped up etc...., as it would be nice to exclude premature failures due to other factors.

I have the full service history of my hybrid motor and its yet to do a head gasket. 260,000kms and still going.

Do you people have the full service history to know if its been done? Not many people have done 400,000kms on a car they brought new...

I might be wrong but i think the EL hybrid have the AU head gasket as standard on them anyway

I pulled the head of my hybrid after 320k klms and still had the original composite gasket on it
