ok b4 someone tells me to use the search button cuz its been covered i have and havent been able to find specifics about the wiring i need. the donor car is an ef and the car its going on is ed, do i have to trace the wiring all the way back from the injectors, maf sensor, and thermo fans all the way back to the ecu?, is it not possible to use the current wiring on the ed for injectors and maf sensor? and also is the plug for an el ecu the same as that of an ed ecu or will i need to graft a diffrent plug onto the ed? and from what i understand i cant use the ef's ecu as it uses coil pack not distributor ignition or somthing correct?

have a look at this link
http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=85

you can just use the wiring from the ed manifold and extend the tps and isc wires otherwise all the other sensors have the same plugs and are in the same position

Hi, yeah TROYMAN has pretty much all the info you will ever need.

I'm not sure if it's been covered, but if you use the EL thermo fans you can wire them up to the ECU, which has a better control of temp.

For instance, when you drop below 20km/h, the 2 fans come on low speed, and back off after 20km/h. Also, wehn you put Aircon on it fires up both fans for about 1 or 2 minutes to cool condenser down, helping cool aircon quicker.

I'll try dig up the diagram.

Cheers,

Mark.

OK, this is the diagram for the wiring diagram for the EL ECU and fans.

Nice Diagram Mark, Is the EF one the same (wire colouring) except extra relay (one for each fan)?
