Today i pulled the door lock knob out of my drivers side door, then when i put it back in and locked it the knob didnt sit flush like it did before. I even lined up the little groove on the LHS. I want to fix it so it doesn't attract the wrong type of attention in car parks.

Thanks

To align the knob firstly remove it from the door, with some pointy nose pliers pull out the white plastic insert but dont remove. Open window on car and close door. Lock door and push on knob until it bottoms out. Unlock door and lock again to ensure correct operation. Knob should now sit flush.

what i did was, pulled the door trim back off and lent the front (towards the front of the car on the ground then pushed the plastic cable thing all the way out of the hole so the door lock grey thing came all the way out then twisted the door lock clockwise untill i thought it was right and put it back into the hole in the trim then put the trim back on, it was lsuh and screwed it all back up, done it on both doors, worked a treat. hope it helps

Great idea! I could never get mine to line up properly again after I removed it.
