Hey guys i just recently bought a fe ltd. after my ea got abit scrambled anyway just wanting to know would a au vct motor fit into the engine bay of the fe ltd... would i be able to use the 4 speed auto transmition. and how would i go about doing the conversion..???

i looked through the forums but couldnt find anything

yep i have done a few of these OHC into X-car conversions. i can help you with most of the job.

use EA engine mounts
the 4spd probably won't clear the trans tunnel unless you clearance it as required. Much better to use a T5 manual or stick with an EA 3 spd.

AU VCT will require you to do an involved re-wire. Non-VCT is a wiser move as you can set it up on any of the older ecu's.

need to make some radiator brackets, hook up thermo's etc. Its not brain surgery but thinking it through and budgeting to do things properly will see it finished if you have the capabilities to do it at home.
