 Post subject: clutch fork

what holds the clutch fork in the bell housing . i got a ea 5 speed car but thes nothing in there to hold it only a lug with bolt hole . someone said a bit of metal or something. anyone got some pics of can draw me one so i can make it

the clutch fork goes onto the output shaft and sits / slots underneath a bolt and aa spacer thing and that is it.

Once the clutch fork is in position as suggested by Froudey, you fix the clutch plate & pressure plate to your flywheel ( if you have not already done that), then when you slide the gearbox on, the throwout / thrust bearing will ride up against the fingers of the pressure plate, stopping the clutch fork from traveling too far forwards.

minies missing the bolt and spacer thing. so any bolt will do and just make a thin spacer up. i pulled this out of my donor car and it was missing. clutch place told me to replace the spacer just make one up but its not there to make one up the same
