i would like to know the diferrance between the 260 boss,290 boss,is it tuning and exhaust or cams,currently have 260 with cold air intake and cappa flasher 207rwkw (not happy yet).

Cams are bigger and compression ratio is higher(10.5:1) therefore the calibration is also different.

Cam swap isnt worth the hassle for the boss. It has 4 overhead cams so it really is making life difficult and expensive.

Power seems a tad low ( maybe an honest dyno) so it might be time for the forced induction. You can get a centrifugal kit for around 5ish and a Positive displacement unit from around 8k+.

Other than that maybe a diff gear change and perhaps a custom tune (if u dont have one) may be the only other options.
