Yes if the subs can be wired together to match the resistance load of the amplifier's 800w RMS power rating.... Are each of your woofers Single Voice Coil(SVC) or Dual Voice Coils(DVC) - a SVC sub has one set of Pos/Neg terminals where a DVC woofer has a pair of each terminals.. Also what are those coils rated too...should say on the box/the terminals/sticker on the back of the woofer magnet/in the manual such as 4ohms... What is the amplifier channel rated at 4ohms, 2ohms etc ?

Shouldnt be an issue for him just need to confirm the specs of the gear to prevent the bloke from wiring a 0.5ohm load on his only capable of 4ohms amp and then having to smell his new toys cooking

Ok well going from the D4 at the end of the part number I will say they are Dual 4ohm voice coil subs...which can be wired in parrallel for a 1ohm load... Which from helping out other guys with this same amp is no issue as the 800w RMS peak value comes from a 1ohm load.

isnt 2x 4ohm in parallel 2 ohms?
or is that also factoring in the 2x 2ohm in parallel aswell ontop of that |

Yes you are correct but 2 dvc subs in parallel is actually 4 x 4 ohm voice coils in parallel is indeed 1 ohm....

Sorry mate but if these are 4 ohm dvc your calculations are incorrect, you can't get a 2 ohm load from a pair of 4 ohm dvc woofers, you can only get 1, 4, or 16 ohms from these.... Keeddlez, your setup will still be 4 ohms....

go for the lowest impedance you can get... but MAKE SURE YER AMP IS STABLE AT THAT RESISTANCE!!!!!!! mate bought a 2500 dollar amp which was 2 ohm stable but ran 1 ohm through it.... BANG!! 2.5k down the drain

Also good advice however remeber that the lower the resistance value the greater the loss of control over the subwoofer driver and thus greater SPL yes but loss in clarity - obviously depends on the setup and tuning etc but as a general jist yes...so just depends what the guy is after...SPL..SQ or a happy medium.
