Howzit goin?
I need to replace my sump gasket does the engine need to come out or can i remove the crossmember to get at it? thanks i appreciate any advise Gav

On a V8 it can be taken out..
On a 6 try tightening the sump bolts first ??? WE have found some very loose and leaking due to way too loose sump bolts....

i completely forgot to say it was V8, so i can remove the cross member sweet as i shall give it a go. cheers

You can replace the gasket without having to remove anything bar the sump. It gives you about 2 inches of room to play with, so not a huge amount, and so can be a bit fiddly, but could save you a bit of time in the process.

Yep just remove the sump guard and lower radiator hose and it should come out after removing sump bolts...
