Well it all started saturday night when a commy drive told me my tail lights wenen't working. I checked it all out and found this.

Ignition OFF/ Lights ON - Front lights come on but rears dont, Fuel pump seems to make noise. The number plate light is the only one that works.
Ignition ON/Light OFF - My tail lights come on but not the head lights. No brake lights.
Ignition ON/Lights ON - Front lights come on, no tail lights (except number plate light), No brake lights.

Then tonight i went to use the manual climate control and the AC buttons Dont work (so AC doesnt come on), and the air type doesnt work (freash or rec).

I have a feeling that it may be the BEM or ECU playing tricks but i just want to know if anyone else knows of anything.

Ill try grab ahold of a ECU and a BEM to test it but its got me screwed.

i have a feeling that the trailer plug and the NF cluster have something to do with this but the doco says that it can damage the cluster. It could be possible i have cooked the cluster and it doesnt let the lights and CC operate correctly?

BEM doesn't touch the parkers/ headlights.

nor the heater controls!

maybe your rear light panel somehow shorted? check the tail light assembly in side and see if there is anything that could cause it.

Have you tried plugging the old cluster back in and see if it works or not? if it doesn't work then you know the cluster ain't the problem. When you put the cluster in, did you forget any wires in the back that should be reconnected?

hope that helps.

Do your front PARK lights come on?
Do your rear indicators and reverse lights work normally? No earthing?
Hazard lights? No 20A Fuse
The heater is fed power from the park relay and also the instrument illumination via the BCM.
Check your Park relay upper right beside the interior fuse box in my EF.

Cheers,
C

lol Stomper what did you do?

Ignition on / lights Off: you say that the headlights don't come on but what about the park lights?
Does your interior illumination come on as well - even though the headlights are off?
The parkers, tail lights and interior illumination is all on the same circuit so if one is on they should all be on.

You mention you have a trailer plug, is it the type with auxillary power that comes on with the key on? It sounds like a short in your trailer plug - the aux power is leaking across to the park circuit and vice versa. Unplug the trailer plug harness (near the driver side tail light) and see if the problem persists.

Im guessing your talking about the group of four relays in the fuse box by my left knee. If so the top right one. Cheers.

Try a few tips from http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=48627 .
Have you actually installed the bulb out feature when you fitted the cluster ????
This feature only has issues when a trailer has been connected up, due to the extra current draw from the extra lights - there is an easy workaround for this.

well i can say the globes in the tail lights were a little rooted and the brake switch is stuck on. So that explains why the tail lights came when the key was turned.

I cant get the center brake light to work.

And as for the tail lights them selves it is just a f**k filament i think.

The climate control may have a s**t fuse in it
