Has anybody done this, or know how hard or know of a tutorial. My car is black so it should be easy to get the mirrors, maybe harder for door handles, gonna have to find a taxi. So yeah does anybody have any clues.

Thanks
Ben

I don't know about the door handles, however I fitted EF/EL mirrors to my last car an EA.
Fairly easy to do however you will need to change the power plug on the mirror, as they are not the same.
You will need to drill a new hole in the door as the mirror mounts slighty differant.
Also need to replace trim across top of door(bottom of window).

The door handles are straight forward also. EDMONTY did a doco on it, however its gone missing since the site crash. I'll get in touch with him and see if he can send it thru to me again :)

yuh, door handles are a straight swap.. just ensure the paint under the handles is in decent nick coz the EL handles are smaller!

Yeah the handles are a smaller shape, and if the paint aint so good it stands out where the old ones were, i know mine do :0)

They are easy to remove and swap, the front ones have 10mm nuts are are easy, the rear ones may involve removing a metal plate to gain access but are easy after that.

Make sure you adjust the connecting rods for the sniper knobs, or the doors wont lock properly.

EB mirrors if they are electric keep them, I would rather the EB ones of all the e-series mirrors.

Thanks guys! Very helpful, yeah i swear I seen a tutorial somewhere, well I might start with the handles as mine are not the same colour as the car, they like more purple then black! I'll try chase them up and let you know how I go.

Thanks Guys

hey i'm in the bankstown area...

also there are the pics of the handles and the car i got them off in my gallery.

Its an EA with EF XR6 engine manual, 3 inch exhaust ,3.45 LSD! It had the EF door handles in stark white, so i ripped em off.

enjoy!

the easy part if fitting them the hard part is trying to find them cheap i'll try and see if i can find the doco ,see if i have a backup ,i'll have to search throught like 300 cd's but it might be there ,im pretty sure i still have the photos,

the front doors are easy, and the back you have to drill out the pop ricets from a metal cover to access the nut ,the handles are only held on with 2 nuts ,and the lock mech is apart of the door so to speak,so the handles just pop stright off.so it's just a matter of removing the door trip and unbolting it,and putting the new ones on,and then you will have to clean and buff under the old handles cause there different sizes and there will be marks left . got any Q's just pm me and i'll try and help

ehehe yeh i dismantled these handles off the wreck myself so i kinda understand what your talkin about.

I actually got the handles for 10 bucks each! after a lot of bargaining and they were lazy so i offered to take them off myself with my tools.

Cheers
