Just got a Slate EF premium head unit for my ED..
i just need to buy the 6 stacker for it now.. i was wondering do you have to use the EF/EL stacker or will the earlier series stackers work ??? and you dont have to run the factory amp do you?

Running factory amp is not required to run the stacker.
I had an ED stacker that operated through an EF premo sound setup. I also had an alpine stacker that worked. I am fairly sure that the earlier e series stackers use the same install brackets as well so it can be mounted to the bottom of you parcel shelf.
