Hi All,
Has anyone done this before? Can you buy separate elastics from ford? it looks like they are pressed together, so they'd almost have to be broken and then a new one pressed in. Quite annoying having 1 broken elastic and the rest of the tonneau cover is perfect. any advice greatly appreciated thanks |

Looking from behind they have a white plastic clip in the centre. Put a flat head screwdriver in it and turn. This will break the clip (its the only way to get them out). The new ones cost around 3 or 4 bucks each (may even be less: I can't remember). To refit put the looped part on and tap the clip back in. Pretty simple.
BTW I'm pretty sure I have seen these clips available at Autobahn

Thanks a lot for the information guys and also to jrfttf. I just rang Ford and the genuine clips/elastics are about $6 each, so that'll make the old ute look a bit nicer now from behind.
