The only thing coming off the coil is a blue connector that looks much like the ones on the end of the injectors? so is there somewhere else i can find the negative to the coil so i can hook up this tacho?
thanks

Felony - do you have the wiring diagram for the ECU? If so - im pretty sure the Profile Ignition Pickup (PIP) signal should provide the signal required for the tacho....
I believe the wire going to the coil is from the ECU/TFI unit to tell the coil when to fire.... im not sure if this is suitable for your purposes. Anyone else?

XD to EB use a Pink with Blue stripe wire which goes to the coil I know my XF and EB had this wire already connected,
This I assume was due to the computer needing a signal from the coil, XD's & E's had if no taco was fitted had the wire looped back into the wiring loom. |
