if you sand it or use carby clean change the oil actualy dont use carby clean you will eat the inner seal out

dont use a rattle gun on your flywheel/drive plate either do it with a tension wrench or it will most likely leak again

yea was planning on using a tourque wrench, ill do what was suggested and clean the crank up and run it 1mm out so it doesnt sit in the groove (if there is one), its just a no name repco jobbie so no grease or anything but yea ill get some light grease, mmm going to be a busy day on sunday, new rear main, new clutch, flush the gearbox, oil change and engine mounts.

inner seal? there is only one seal there. and cleaning it with wet n dry and carby clean wont hurt anything. the small amount of cleaner that gets into the oil wont hurt it anymore then the feul that gets past the rings in cold run every day. Blow it out with air and there will be no carby cleaner left to even get onto the seal, let alone harm it
