Did anyone watch his last race. Not sure where it was. Think it was Canada. This guy nudge him out of first place. The guy who nudge him was suppost to be in 12th place when the safety car was out but drove up to second and when the safety car left rammed him off the track and kept on going.

Yeah my boss told me about that on monday morning. To say that NASCAR are p****d with that bloke is an understatement. From what I heard it was a very dirty race, lots of biff and barge.
Who wants to organise a tour to the US so we can go up as an Aussie contingent and see the peoples champ race? Even if its just one race it will be worth it. |

Well in a kind of defence of Robby Gordon,
Ambrose did turn him around with a little nudge causing him to lose first place after just taking it(may of been under yellow flag though). But after Nascar fined Gordon $41K for the incedent, he then call's Ambrose and offers him a top level, one off drive. That not only shows how bad Robby Gordon felt for losing control of his emotions on the race track but it also shows that he can offer and produce something that Ambroses own team has only talked about, A DRIVE IN THE BIG LEAGUE. Remember Robby Gordon like quiet a few Nascar drivers are very religious. |

True Roo true. You don't see thoughtful gestures like that in V8 supercars, or most other forms of motor sport in Australia. The only notable exception being drag racing where oponents tend to help each other out on a regular basis. When Zap ran the first 5 at WSID two years ago, that was with victor brays crank in his motor.

He should do allright in that drive. Watkins Glen is a road track not an ovel so his experience in the Supercars will come to the fore. Not too many of the NASCAR drivers are specialsits on open tracks other than guys like Boris Said.
Amborse should be in his element. BTW good on Robby Gordon...perhaps if there was a bit more if this spirit in the Supercars I would go back to watching them (that and working out that HRT and HSV are the same damn team)
