Hi guys, I want to get a donut tank in my LPG setup, however I was informed by a fitter that it would protrude from the top of the spare tyre wheel well by about 2 inches and cost $400 more.

For those of you who have these, how do yours fit, and do you think the additional cost is worth it?

Cheers

had one, personally thought it was s**t house. tank was a better option, loose space I know. what capacity donut are you looking at as well?

But this was 10+ years ago, things have probably changed.

Installed donut tank in wifey's Au II fairlane ghia. Has a usable capacity of 53 litres (65 lt ) she is very happy with it .Only downside is spare wheel sits at home now pram has to go in boot, when we go on long drive put spare in.So far no real dramas and I would not change it. The reason we chose a donut tank was the sub woofer in the fairlane was too low for a regular tank.

My friend got his wagon done with a donut tank, they put his full size spare in a bag thing.

So that would sort out that problem with the wheel
