Hey I hope someone might have an idea. Can EL Falcon cruise control buttons work in an EB Fairmont which has cruise control in it. In other words change EL Buttons for the EB buttons?
I would just like to see if the wiring can be done or if it would be impossible! :?:

Not having seen the schematic, id say it would be possible. may be considerable screwing around though.

Wiring aside, I don't see how they'd fit the EB wheel? Different shapes alltogether.

Aside from the actual fitting, they can be made to work.
Will need a few resistors to be changed.
Also, one of the switches will be surplus to need as the EF/EL has 5 buttons and the EA-EB-ED system only uses 4 buttons.

Only two resistors needed and the resistor values used are standard values so no probs getting those (the other two buttons send +12v and -ve).

Thanks guys I have already worked out the physical fitting. I have an original Ford momo hub. I have upgraded the wheel to the new model Momo club4 which is just the latest version of the original momom that was on the eb's. The shape of the EL cruise buttons fits perfect. I just had to make a couple of alloy blocks to mount the buttons to and run wiring inside hub adaptor. I got the on off button to work but the accelarate and decelerate buttons I couldnt. Any idea off the top of your head which resistors I would need to use to be able to make them work?

Thanks Guys

Grab a set of EB buttons and an multimeter and you'll be able to work it out
