Hey all! My newest toy EL Xr6 is jumping into D and R even tho the idle speed is good.....Is this a sign of possible trans replacement or should i just replace the solenoid block on the side or ??? Car has done 235,000k..

its just changing into it by itself or you are pushing it into without pressing the button?

No i mean normal push button in and select......My EF goes in normal but the XR jumps into gear so there's a pressure valve worn or something like that??? Is there a presure regulator or is that alll done by the solenoid block on the side??? I have heard they should be changed at every 100,000???

hey man if you live near frankston go to Bay City Automatics and ask them man my work have been geting recos and auto proplems sent there for near on 10 years now

if u think its f**k just get another auto from a wreckers they are s**t cheap. you can fit the au series one box (as it is newer) but you just have to change the bellhousing over to your ef one.

it could be bad uni's or backlash in the diff, check the driveline out and see what you find.

Ye it could but it does seem more like the trans itself....will check drivline tmrw..
