Hi all,

Were the EF XRs counted as having a stock rim size of 15" or 16"

Id like to put 18s on my 96 EFII XR6 but dont wanna have to worry bought paying for the stupid engineers cert for them.

Cheers

Mate ive got whoppin 18's on my stock futura and have never been interfered with before. Insurance knows and is happy, i work opposite a police HQ and never pulled over once. Just remember, if they really want to fault yer car they will, only the picky ones will pick u up for big wheels

i wouldnt get too concerned. its worth a fine, they look to damn good!!

Isn't it the width they are concerned about, no wider than 8 inchs wide, rim width. If you put wider on they would catch on stuff in the front when turning..

In SA you can go 50mm larger or smaller (why ????) than the largest or smallest rim size on the tyre placard on the drivers door. External diameter must not be more than 15mm extra or less than 15mm smaller.

Your track cannot be more than 26mm greater than the factory spec, so 13mm offset extra per side is acceptable.

Not sure about other states, go to your states transport web page and do a search on wheel size.

Yeah it's width they really worry about. To do with the change of track already mentioned.
