hey everyone....

i have an AUII fairmont ghia and as you know these cars have the premium stereo with a sub and amp....Now i have added my own sub and have hook everything up properly....i have used a speaker to RCA connector to convert the speaker wire to RCA so i can run the sub....NOW all i need for it to work is to find a 12v source for the trigger wire to turn on the amp....

now ive tried hooking it up to the positive wire on the stock amp in the boot however it is not enough volts to turn the amp on. only 4 volts is goin to the amp therefore it cant turn on the amp

can anyone please tell me where a good 12v source is for the trigger wire around the boot somewhere....

Note: i have factory GPS so the DVD insert player for the GPS CD is in the boot. i could use the positive from that too but i just dont know..

PLEASE HELP!!!

cheers

Find something in your fusebox that comes on with the ignition and tap into it

Does it have a power aerial?
If so hook the remote into this, this is a better option than the other mentioned....
