hey all

just wondering if the rear map pocket holders in EF's are separate - i.e. can i chase down a pair, unclip the current lower halves, and replace with map pockets?

cheers

Aren't they held in with clips and rivets?

Mate, the rears are just screwed on (unlike the fronts which are sorta melted on by the back). Just get a set, line em up, and a few short self tappers will work nicely.

No, they are just screwed on to the trim (unlike the front ones that are plastic riveted) - only the Ghias / Fairlanes / LTD's got the rear map pockets from factory too.

I'll elaborate a bit more! Fairmont/Ghia ones are seperate additions to the door trim front and rear. Not one piece moulded door trims.
I've added the rear ones to my EL and it was a five minute per side job.

Could they be fitted to the rear doors in an el xr8 without any dramas? Ie. would they just screw/clip in?
