I put in new HLA's into the EF about 18mths ago, (25,000k), got them from Repco.
They went great, but i'm now getting rattle at idle when hot.
This isn't the usual tick-tick, but more of a rattly diesel type of sound.
Goes away at revs and then comes back after few secs at idle.

Are these HLA's prone to give out this quick??? or could it be something else? (oil pump????)

Whats the oil pressure like? What engine oil are you using? How often do you change the engine oil?

How long does it take to do 10K? Try a bottle of Nulon Lifter Quiet.

Would Morley's Heavy Duty Oil Stabiliser do anything?
The auto shop guys tried pushing this onto me but I'm unsure?

Don't know about the Morley's/ Morrey's, but I know the Nulon works, it worked on mine. Try it, can get it from Repco, or Super Cheap. Anywhere from $10 to $13. Read the instructions!!!
