Well mate if you done on your done a them all... are you replacing with another 3 speed or 4 speed if 4 speed you need a TCM the loom maybe and the auto loom to the gearbox.... if you just replaceing the 3 speed it would be simple....
first remove airbox lid and piping remove either the fan a** or the radiactor and shroud then removing tail shaft jack the car up like 1/2 a metre of the ground there are four 10mm bolts undo them give the tailshaft a gentle tap and remove .... un do the cross member bolts let the egine move down slightyly undo the bellhousing bolts and then just co urse the gearbox off quickly get a bucket to catch the torque converter oil and then once it has drained into the bucket it is just a simple case of putting the "new" auto back in.. and then doing tailshaft..... that was a basic thing but like you would figure it out like using a floor jack undoing cables and wires etc etc. starter motor etc

hey cheers mate
help is much appreciated shafts r different in falcons to the commodores as the commodores r 2 piece an they jus go undo 4 bolts off the diff but with mine it looks like jus a uni join but there is 4 bolts do i jus undo these and will i have to balance it or do anything else its jus a swap so another 3 speed auto goin in and also r the shafts at the rear of the box meant to be loose as the 1 i got it seems to be a lil loose at the back of the box but they r not like thta on my commodore boxes cheers

not sure about the loose ness do you mean like side to side or you can spin it???? yeah four 10mm bolts and i think they are what people would call a uni bolt or something the four bolts hold two brackets u bolt or something the call it.
i doubt there would be any dramas balancing because if replace same box the splines and that should be the same length hasn't changed so i think not.... yeah commodores have a more *cough* modern design in regards to the tail shafts and s**t just think some VP had ISC and the EBs did't
