$1000 will get you a full system. Drive in, drive out... Usually with dyno testing as well. This would include 2.5" mandrel cat-back zorst with a high flow cat and a good set of pacemaker 4499's or similar.

However you can pay less than half that depending on if you hunt around and buy second hand and fit it all yourself.

And dude... You can't make a i6 sound like a V8 no matter how hard you try... It will still only make sound like a nice i6

at idle i beg to differ,

but give it revs and its all over :(

If you can't pick a 6 with an exhaust from an 8 at idle, then you don't know what an 8 really sounds like.

I beg to differ, when I had my EL I6 I used to get comments all the time. Specially when I fired her up at work (when I first got it) Is that a V8 etc etc and some of those were v8 owners. All it had was a 2 1/2 inch Lukey cat back no res. sounded bloody great at idle/fire up but you knew soon as you lifted revs it was a six

on my EF, i have 2.5" cat back with one performance muffler and one "hotdog". What i would like to know is that if i take out the hotdog and just have straight pipe, will it make my car louder? even just a little bit. Or will it only increase the noise inside the car.

cheers

must've had a hole.

i have a lukey cat back exhaust with 2 mufflers, hi-flow cat and pacies extractors...my note is still a p***y compared to the rumble of an 8.

phong =P~

so can anyone recommend a good exhaust place in melb?

IMO most exhaust places take the same system of the shelf and bolt it on so all you need to do is figure out which system you want then ask around for the best price...

how can the f**k up screwing a few pipes together?? and most warranty's are through the manufacturers not the exhaust place...

(iv got a 2.5" Redback Cat Back exhaust... fairly quiet at idle nice between 1500 and 3500 then gets soft over 3500...)
