how many speakers does a El Fairmont have and where are they???? today i got told they had 9

I think an EL Ghia has 9, 4 tweeters, 2 on top of dash and 2 in rear parcel shelf, 4 mid's and a sub in the parcel shelf with an amp. I think a stock Mont has 6, 2 tweeters and the sub are not there.

If you had the standard system. Then you would have 2x6" speakers on the rear parcel shelf. 2x6" in the front doors and the 2 x tweeters that are on the back of the dashboard facing upwards at the windscreen. That makes a total of 6 x speakers.

If you had a Premium. You would have the extra Subwoofer on the rear parcel shelf. That makes 7 x speakers.

Supposedly 2 more speakers are meant to be in the rear parcel shelf where the ventilation things are on the carpet. OR 2 way speakers are counted as 2 speakers in one but I have never figured that out.

My EL had the standard system with the 4 x 6" speakers and 2 tweeters.

thanks guys i was sure there was only 7 in my el ghia, i was looking every where for the other 2 speakers to make it nine. lol
