Can anyone give me a link pointing me to how to get dimensions where to drill holes to fit a Fairmont boot spear? Also looking for wiring for trip computer. Link to fitting trip computer would also be helpful.

boot spear no idea

I fitted a boot spear to my XR6 (not the ghia spear, the F one).

I just made a template of the spear with cardboard, putting holes where the bolts of the spear are. Then just lined the cardboard up on the boot, and marked the holes. Drilled holes out and fitted spear. Took 30 minutes getting it right. Oh and I made the holes slightly bigger than the bolt so that I had some play in movement to get it dead straight.

masking tape is your best friend!!

just run strips across the boot, and make sure you layer them up a bit too!!

then just simply place the chrome strip where you want it and push it into the tape. it will leave indents...then just measure and make sure it is all even (measure twice drill once)!!!
