how far does the front of the sump have to be moved in to clear the k frame?

where did you get the moded from and did you have any oil problems of any type

Oil problems? Nope, it still leaks from everywhere so it's within factory spec. If it stops leaking then it's probably run out of oil.

I did the work however any engineering place should be able to do the work for you for $50-$100 as long as you clean it and remove the baffle plate which is easy - just centre punch and drill out the mounts then bolt it back in with loctite when you reassemble the sump.

Bolt it to an old engine block before welding so it doesn't warp the sump.
