Excellent - should make the loom a bit more manageable.
I'm thinking of purchasing a Tickford GLi LPG ECU which should give a marked increase in performance and hopefully economy due to it altering the spark - timing to better suit the LPG. Thanks for the offer Slabz pity you're in SA - I'll be taking some photos of the procedure and will start working on a doco to help others through this process. Luke can we have some more pics of the mixer - convertor setup ... have you got any info on the mixer etc...

Yeah that's the ECU I've got. Works a treat. I get around 10.5l on the highway and 16l around town. Thats normally with me, wife, 3 kids and a dog plus luggage. No too bad.
cheers Scott

MacGyver wrote: Just pull the fuel tank (with pump inside) and leave the wires hanging. It will not affect the ECU. It will not throw up codes. This is what I have done. I just left the injectors there. No real reason to remove them unless you want to sell them or use them on something else. Hook your LPG in tank gauge direct to the fuel pump/petrol sender loom to get the standard gauge working. If you only have a 0-90 Ohm sensor then a full tank will only read about 3/4 full. Put a 10 or so Ohm resistor in series to get better use of the low level warning.
Should be apples. cheers Scott So this is why my factory guage only reads 3/4 when full with gas!! |

Its a LG Motorgas 225 mixer feedback type and i'm using a b2 converter. Bought them both of eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Brand-New-225-LP ... dZViewItem It seems to be working well, im getting 10.6l/100km doing 100kmh on the highways and the best around town is 16.8l/100km. Im going to start experimenting with the closed-loop setup and try to get it to kick in a bit earlier. I've been driving it around with a multimeter hooked up to the o2 sensor it seems to sit on .750-.780 millivolts all the time regardless of load/rpm. This is about 10% richer than stoich. When closed-loop starts it toggles between .300mV & .750mV. Ive tried shimming the air valve to lean it off a bit using some .003" shim steel but it really only made a difference at idle. I rang LG Motorgas and spoke to a guy there and told him that my mixer was running to rich & he suggested a clean-air valve instead of the feedback valve. I was concerned that the mixer was too far away but it seems ok although i am going to fit a primer to it next weekend. It takes about 8 seconds of cranking first thing in the morning and then it starts within 2-3 seconds everytime after that. For some reason (don't know why) it likes to be rich for a smooth idle. It likes .860mV for the best idle. If its set any leaner the engine runs too rough and it makes little popping noises out the tailpipe. I have decided to run my new engine on straight gas, my current engine is dual fuel. and mostly run it on lpg
I do not want to covert to a BBM conversion, what options do I have to get the best out of my engine? as in mixers, converters, running twin lines from the tank etc responses will be greatly appreciated

I wonder what else it affects? it seems ok. I used 14mm welch plugs, i got them from repco for about $14. it looks much neater, i also re-routed the wiring under the intake manifold. Im thinking about trying an xe electronic distributor in mine to change the ignition timing for some more power & economy. howz ur setup go with your gas mixer down there at the end of intake, much performance and economy difference?

Hey guys,
Just wondering if this process would be the same for the 5.0s in a NC?
