I was just thinking if there was a head gasket broken between cylinders 5 & 6 there would be no compression and hence no spark, as it requires compression to make the coil spark. Just a thought. Unlikely a valve problem on 2 cylinders. Yeh thinking of ripping off the rocker cover and having a look... new territory for me but i wanna get more hands on.... cant make it any worse... or could i lol

Usually goes a milky white gunk as well. See if you can get a compression tester and check compression or take it and get it checked. Any mates in your area that could help. Ask on here in a new post if there is anyone near that would give you a bit of help for a slab of beer etc.
But from what you say it may well be a head gasket. Expensive if you get a mechanic to do it but not too bad if you can do it yourself with a mate who knows what to do.
