will fit straight in, you will need to unplug the battery from both terminals, then remove the dummy plug, plug it in and secure the airbag to the dash and your done

I'd call fraud and ask if they have to enable it.

yes, there is a good chance the restraints control module is incorrect for a dual airbag setup.
what code did it flash? |

i am not sure whar you mean by code. i do not have any gear to plug in.
what happened is after reconnected battery i turned ignition on and the airbag light came on as usual then flashed for a while then stayed on permanently. barry |

sometimes but they usually still flash the LFC as well for the highest priority error. It is my understanding for made the Restraints Modules different in an effort to stop dealerships ordering cars with single airbags and fitting passenger airbags that were sourced second hand etc and making more profit. (yes it did happen on some AU's) |

(yes it did happen on some AU's) Hmm we fitted one to my mates ba xr6 turbo ute and had no problems once the DTC was cleared. I was also told this by a mate who worked at ford that it should just plug in and no restraint module change. However sounds like Ford may have made achange Barry - take you car to ford and get them to clear the DTC (error code) from your car. It can wait till your next service or you can take it down there at any stage - They will plug the PDS in and clear it should only take a few minutes
