xr6's have a higher fuel pressure regulator i think... could try one of them.
if ya do let me know if its better cause im thinkn of upgrading my fuel system.... id probably start with higher flowing injectors.

Something that's frustrated the crap outta me for years is that if you look at various Malpassi regulator ads and I think even the photos on their std packaging you can SEE an evidently adjustable regulator that looks very much like the EF type - ie. O ringed spiggot with flange to take 2 bolts and screw on type lower fitting for the return hose - yet I haven't been able to get any sense out of anyone as to what that regulator actually is - ie. will it do the job and what part number is it.
If anyone knows or can find out PLEASE post the info!!!

I've found regulators at the "official Malpassi site" - it's italian but in their catalogue section you can find pics of the regs I'm talking about - the bracket is set back from the spiggot but I think there are bushes to help fitment shown in a couple of the pics - washers or made up bushes could be used anyway - and also a different fitting in the bottom would be needed - the correct type is shown sticking out of the side of one of the other regulators listed. Working out WHICH regulator has the correct pressure range etc would be the trick and that's where I haven't had any luck getting info.
