ive recently installed a heavy duty clutch in my au and the pedal has started to creak. Ive been told that the pedal box is ready to collapse because of the extra weight. now they tell me to fix it it only needs to be welded up but would it be better to just get a new pedal set and strengthen it before putting it back in

firewall flex, my old xr6 did the same, creaked everytime the clutch was touched, fire walll flexed, pedal pinion bent, and it chewed the pinion bushes out also.
if its the pedal box, take it out weld some strengthining gussets into it an bolt it back in with plates on either side of firewall should solve problems.
