haha yeah pretty expensive. Although it does include valve springs and a Flash Tuner

The E-Series guys are lucky, $135 exchange at Wade cams. :D Even $490 for JMM cam doesn't seem that bad compared. lol

ebturb... see your point, but for that price, xr6 turbo's were just another 2k above NA prices

yeah but thats xr6 to xr6t and its more than 2k for a decent one my 2c but if ya look at the price diff from baxt to baxr6t for a person under 25 and insurance the na would be a much better pick and less hassle of the cops for power to weightm ect

The power to weight is ok.. as they are only 240KW stock and weight 1800KG or something like that.
But i think your right with the insurance... $2500+ and if you youve got some speeding fines up your sleeve, im sure it would be more.

Dude, think you misunderstood what I was saying... with the $3200 for the cams, add an extra 2k and you're in the turbo league (if you bought a NA XR)

But yeah, insurance was the main reason I chose a NA over Turbo... that and the fact that it'll either try and get stolen or I'll decide to kill myself in it :?

Even on the old law they were not okay, they were over the power-to-weight limit here in Victoria. Used to be 125kw per tonne.

The new rule only applies to people who got there P's AFTER July 1 this year. Trust me I know i did lots of reaserch into it.

And under the the old rule the BA XR6T is: 240kw / 1700Kg x 1000 = 141Kw per tonne, so plain and simple its over.

But then having said all that i've walked into differant cop shops and asked if i can drive BA on my P's, and they've all said "I dont know, but I'm prety sure you can".
But i dont drive the thing much, I keep it parked.

But full comp insurance in caulfield is about $2500...
