Hey guys
my ac inop since i bought the car so im ganna see if i can get it working before summer.
i vacumm out the ac system and regassed the acc at work last week and i fixed the wiring to the thermo fan for ac but still no working so i did a Key On/Engine Off (KOEO) Self Test and got


Fault
838 - Evaporator Sensor shorted to B+ or Vref The evaporator

temperature voltage is too high. Can be caused by a short to +12V or faulty sensor

anyone had any experence with this one???

what number wires are they to the ecu? where the Evaporator Sensor located????

Tested that the Air con itself works by applying power to the compressor clutch for a few minutes ???

I don't think code 838 will stop the A/C from working.

Having read some of your other threads on the car (habibi wiring jobs), get hold of a gregory's and check out the A/C circuit properly - some of the associated relays (accessory relay. WAC relay)may've been pulled out.
