hey all
as of sat nite, the car seems to be making strange noises from the rear end. when rolling at slower speeds, it sounds almost like its grinding - the brakes have been checked & are ok, doesn't feel like any movement in the uni-joint. could/would it be the diff? its been serviced on a regular basis, but at the 240,000kms its up to, its going to eventually need to be replaced. its a 3.08 btw

i had a noise from the rear at slow speeds after driving at high speeds for a while. it would happen just as i let off the pedal. replaced the diff fluid and fixed it.
if it was unis you would notice a humming sound from rear at around 80k's. also if the fluid in the diff is low the pinion bearing could be a little dry. |

Sounds like a good excuse to get a 3.45 ratio or better.
Dont forget the speedo cog. |
