ef el au wont work as the spring on them goes the opposite way. coz on an ea-ed the cable pulls from behind the throttle butterfly whereas ef el au pulls from infront of the butterfly. this is because of the different positioning of the throttle body (ef el au on the top, ea-ed on the bottom).

i thought ea - ed mpfi throttle bodies were the same. maybe the sensors are different - in which case you could just swap them over.

just go over to a wrecker. there are heaps of ea's around. just grab one. shouldnt cost more than $10 (unless u go to a tite a*** wrecker).

yes it will bolt on but it uses different sensors so it wont work. you cant bolt your sensors on it as it has a different sensor bolt pattern

Ok People Hey It is
Throttle Bodies Boxcar
1988 to 1988 Changed
1989 to 1992 Changed
1993 to 1994 Changed

Throttle Bodies XG/XH
1993 to 1996

Throttle Bodies EF/EL
1994 to 1998

Throttle Bodies AU
1998 to 2003

Everything will bolt on the Plenum Chambers(intake manifold) but you will have issues with sensors ie TPS ISC etc etc........ EF to AU are opposite to EA/EB and different cable mounting brackets...
