Just wondering when i apply the brakes to stop at the lights
it make this hissing sound and when i get home everyday i used to be able to turn the engine off and use the brakes without the engine going i mean i could push it 3 times before it starts getting hard now i can't even push it once before it get real hard

sounds like either master cylinder or brake booster. If you know what your doing and looking at, pull the master cylinder out dismantle and inspect, they do wear out, the seal in the top decays over time. also if you have not changed your brake fluid in a while they get all the filth in them and stop working.. try bleed the brakes off.. may have a bit of air in the calipers of lines. Have you done any recent work to the car touching the brake system in any way?

If the master cyl is leaking, its stuffed, and if you pump the pedal several times with the engine off, then while your foot is on the brake pedal, start the engine and see if the pedal goes down straight away, if not, the booster is stuffed.

if your hearing a hissing sound then you have a vaccum leak.
pop the hood and run the car, stick your head under the dash and listen for the noise, also check the vacum line goin from the inlet manifold to the booster. if you have to have someone apply the brakes whilst you listen for the location of the noise. alos another thing to try is too run the car and allow vaccum to build up in the booster. turn the car off and put your foot on the brake. if the pedal is instantly hard then your booster and/or related parts are stuffed. if the pedal remains spongey after a few pumps its the master cyl. pump the pedal with the car off to use all vacum in the booster. apply moderate pressure to the brakes pedal. if the pedal slowly sinks to the floor then your master cyl. is shagged

If his hissing noise is anything like mine it seems to becoming from just behind the pedal, ie straight from the booster.

this SHHHH noise will happen when apling brakes while engine running which indicates that the rear seal to the brake booster rod has failed suggest replacing or rekitting boster if able
