Ive got an xr with no premium sound and was wondering where the cables are that they use for an amp and sub and how do you connect a aftermarket sub and amp to them?

I found a plug near where the sub is supposed to sit but dont know if its the right one?

there wont be any existing wires. you'l have to run new wires yourself.
you'll have to run a power wire from the battery to your amp.
then run rca leads and a remote wire from your deck to your amp.
then the sub simply just connects to the amp by connetcing the subs positive to the amps postive and then the subs negative to the amps negative.

can find all the above stuff in an amp wiring kit usually range from $40 - $100 from strathfield or other places. or you could just by cable seperatly from d**k smiths.

The plug will be for the stop lamp in your rear window
On xr's they leave it sitting out and with no globe as you have a brake light in the spoiler!

You will need to run all new wiring as the looms are specific for the option the car has from the factory!
