Hey guys, as some of your know, I'm building a 5.0 with edelbrock heads, a crane 2030 and at the moment a stock bottom end.
The rpm heads have 2.02 valves, and after a quick check of PTV with clay, it seems quite obvious that there will be a collision! The cost of fly cutting the pistons is about the same as getting a new set of hyper pistons, but the question is, which pistons? Does anyone know which pistons have reliefs big enough for a 2.02 valve? I found these on summit, http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... w=1&N=700+ Visually the reliefs look fine, but I have no way of 100% knowing if they will be ok. Has anyone built a motor using 2.02 valves with new pistons? and if so, what did you use?

I'll check the Speedpro book on Monday, but I'm pretty sure that they'll be suitable.
We generally use SRP or Probe pistons for basic deals, or JE, CP or Diamond for top shelf builds

I have RPM heads #60259 with 2.02 valves / 2031 cam / Crane Gold Race 1.7 RR and am using ACL race series pistons - PVC room to spare. They have decent reliefs.
Richie.

Just checked in, the Speed Pros are designed to clear a 2.02, like I said we prefer the SRPs but these will work
