Hey guys

Just a quick question on the steering rack. I was taking it off on the weekend when I noticed that the 2 bolts that hold it to the subframe have no hexagonal nuts. From what I can see there seems to be a bolt thread that is locked by some metal cylinder (about 2cm in height, one cm in diameter) that is joined to a metal washer at the base where the steering rack meets the subframe. How do you undo this (obviously as it is not hexagonal none of my socket sets will work although it is sort of tight with a 15mm). I'm stumped so any help much appreciated. Do I need a special socket?

You undo it from the top the bolts go right through.

Great, thanks for the information. With the tie rods, do you just hammer the thread through the steering linkage to release it from the disc brake. It is impossible to push it down.
