right on dan- go to the head of the class ha ha. checked base timing today by bridging pins in plug in fuse panel then timing light- bingo. auxilary gear must have jumped a tooth when my mechanic was installing the cam and head. base timing is 50 DEGREES ADVANCED!!! im surprise the poor girl runs at all. the only up side is that if it's going this good now- whats it gunna be like when its right!!!! 14's here i come!

time after time i hear that s**t..... happened to me too.... took the car into the local mechanic for a simple cam swap and the d***head gave it back to me with the timing completely f**k, gained no power at all, i thought the cam was f**k till Macxr8 accidently snapped a timing guide while doing the head gasket a few months later which forced him to reset the timing...... and voila!!!.... gained 30kw @ wheels!!!! |

my mate had the same thing when he put his cam in, after a week of it running like a dog checked base timing and was like WTF
