I am looking at using 1 of these 3 cams on an AU I6 with a turbo. Initially say 6psi with stock internals, later going to 10psi after rebuild with stronger pistons & rods if/when required.
A. Intake 6deg BTDC / 64deg ABDC, duration 250deg, valve lift 0.444in. Exhaust 66deg BBDC / 18deg ATDC, duration 264deg, valve lift 0.476in. B. Intake 14deg BTDC / 68deg ABDC, duration 262deg, valve lift 0.478in. Exhaust 56deg BBDC / 24deg ATDC, duration 260deg, valve lift 0.456in. C. Intake 23deg BTDC / 65deg ABDC, duration 268deg, valve lift 0.476in. Exhaust 63deg BBDC / 17deg ATDC, duration 260deg, valve lift 0.450in. None of these are really aggressive, looking at the specs cam B seems the best compromise to me due to lift and not opening the intake too early. Cam C only has 2deg more overlap than B if my calcs are right (A:24, B:38, C:40) but C seems to be set up more for scavenging on a NA setup. I only have lobe separation for C, centres are at 113. Any thoughts on how these would go?
