I have just read this in "AutoSpeed", everybody having dual fuel should
be aware how long petrol last before it go "of". http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_3051/article.html Cheers Chas. |

Yeah.. check out on youtube, there's a guy who has a whole heap of old bombed out cars sitting on his farm and he films himself trying to get them going again (bit of a Canadian redneck to be honest). You would think the fuel in those cars would be worth draining out and replacing with new fresh stuff perhaps?

when i had my factory dual fuel ef i only ever had 1/8 tank petrol in it - i manually used more petrol to keep the injectors clean
in my BA SVI i put about 1/3 tank petrol, it uses a lot more petrol (not much in realty) than my old EF so i hardly ever run it on petrol more than what it does automatically in both cars i only use bp ultimate, i believe this stuff keeps the fuel system nice and clean and it contains a greater number of volatiles so it can afford to lose some without any dramas |

An EX Taxi ED I have sitting down the yard showed me just how damaging Off Petty is to fuel system components.
The Fuel pump was seized solid, and the petty had proceded to eat away at everything inside the tank, including the tank itself. Off petty will chew away at fuel lines, filters, and cause severe corrision to aluminium. But the smell is instantly apparent. A cross between petty and ammonia.
