people will argue for and against that one
the standard ford ones arnt to bad actually.
i wouldnt waste your money
if you change your cat and feel a power gain it will most likely be because your old cat was stuffed.
my 2 cents

we get lukey and walker exhausts come through work on their way up north. Finish and quality look poor, although Im not a major expert.

Get what you pay for really, they are a cheap exhaust if you are after a good sound for min $$ then it is obviously a good exhaust coz it checks all the boxes on your criteria.

If you are looking for top quality finish and construction without overly much concern on the $$ then maybe look around some more.

lol, nothing wrong with Walker exhuasts.

They are a 2.5 pipe just like any other. Mine hasnt shown any weathering in the few years since it was fitted, making good power too......

you get any droning with yours?

is it an auto? does it have 2 mufflers?

i'm in the market for a new system, got to be fairly quiet and drone free - here they want $350 for one fitted

a redback is $455 unfitted from ebay

Single muffler, heaps of droning, loud and obnoxious.

lol ok - you can keep yours i prefer the stealthy approach

years ago i played a game with the local cops, they'd yellow sticker my car, i'd put the stock muffler back on get the sticker off put the loud muffler back on, they'd yellow sticker the car again and on and on we went ... eventually i realised they had more stickers than i could poke a stick at and give up the silly game

quiet and deep is the way to go for me nowadays, also better cos it doesn't drown out converstaion or music or give me a headache lol

Just add a resonator, will still have a nice sound without the droning

i have only the one straight through muffler, it makes a helluva lot of noise, but dosent drone a lot (can hardly hear it just cruisin) but flat to the floor, between 2000 - 3000 rpm, the rear view mirror vibrates

HI. IV'E GOT A COMPLETE LUKEY SYSTEM ON MY CAR. LUKEY EXTRACTORS, 2.5 SPORTS SYSTEM BUT THE CAT IS A 2.5 HIGH FLOW MEGAFLOW (USA). I DID CHANGE A FEW THINGS LATER LIKE A STRAIGHT THROUGH RACE LUKEY STANLESS MUFFLER & REMOVED THE REAR MUFFLER.
THE SOUND WHEN I FIRST PUT IT IN MY CAR WAS EXCELLENT SOUNDED LIKE A V8 AT IDLE.
NOW THE CAR SOUNDS THE SAME BUT LOUDER. PEOPLE SAY TO ME (IS IT A V8). LUKEY TO ME IS THE BEST EXHUAST SYSTEM. ONE DOWN FALL IS IF YOU WANT TO REMOVE THE REAR MUFFLER YOU WILL GET CABIN NOISE AT AROUND 2500 RPM ONLY. NO FAULT OF LUKEY SYSTEMS. OVERALL
THE SOUND IS BEUTIFUL TO MY EARS.

What do you guys reckon?

As far as tone/performance: Pacemaker w/ Redback or full Lukey set-up?

there may well be nothing wrong with them, Im just relating to the fact that the ones that we send north look badly finished, both at the flanges and the bends. really rough. and they are walker.

Not if you drive a B series though, the cats have been proven to be crap on the dyno, back to back.

As well as being flow tested, decent gains with a decent hi flow cat.

I got a Lukey 2.5" one muffler straight through on my car. It sounds like a V8 on idle and under light acceleration. Growls real nice after 2500 revs. Wickedddd!

lukey 2.5 hi flow cat with 2.5 system and strait through muffler, with pacemaker extractors sounds sooo good on my el falcon, even better now with the manual, a small v8 sound normally, and when de accelerating sounds second to none, not to mention the pretty skyblue powdercoat on the pacy's
