Ive come to installing my heads, studs, gaskets, etc... while putting on the gaskets i noticed that on the passenger side of the engine there are holes at the front of the gasket but not the rear.... Can you shed any light on this? The other end of that gasket has holes that match the head?

Do they have "front" marked on them?
The hole above #1 or #5 bores looks like it could be clevo. Have you tried laying a head over and looking at how they sit? |

ok, sorry, didnt follow what you said earlier. So keep the holes open at the rear of the block, but cover them at the front? Is that correct?
